We have visited the the Magpie Chestnut Retreat during December first week this year. Very nice resort and well behaved staff. We have booked one of the cottage room which offers spectacular view of Kanchenjunga. They have garden which was well maintained and they also have swing, slide (kids) and a badminton court. We spent 3 days in Pelling but reserved an entire day just to enjoy this resort. The breakfast was really good and the food was also good.
I was with my family and we have enjoyed the stay a lot.
Wonderful resort and view of kunchenjungha from all rooms. Food is also very good and price is reasonable. Located at a place away from any cacophony. One can see lots of unknown birds. Outside the building they have a nice lawn and garden with lots of Orchids. Enough parking space is also available beside the building. The staffs are too polite and down to earth. Very helpful. Overall a great ambiance. Worth a lot with friends and family.
